Norma F. McKibben, 85, of Burlington, died at 12:54 AM Tuesday, November 17, 2009, at Memorial Hermann Southeast Hospital in Houston, TX.

Born April 29, 1924, in Des Moines County, IA, she was the daughter of Joseph Harold and Gertrude Mary Jones Lee. On December 25, 1941, she married Arnold W. McKibben in Burlington. He died April 16, 2009.

Norma worked for Winegard Co. for 27 1/2 years. She retired in 1984.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church. She was an avid reader and enjoyed crocheting. She collected old time Santa's and Cherished Teddys.

Survivors include two daughters, Sandra Kay (Robert) Voigt of Alvin, TX and Jodonna Lee (Raymond Jr.) Cooley of the Kansas City area; one grandson, Robert Voigt, Jr.; two step-grandchildren, Joseph Cooley and Raymond Cooley III; four step-great-grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy Baldus of Champaign, IL; one sister-in-law, Thelma "Cookie" McKibben of Burlington and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, and five brothers, Eugene, Robert, Delbert, Cecil and Paul.

Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until 4:00 PM with the family to receive friends from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM Sunday, November 22, 2009 at the Hass-Thielen Funeral Home.
The Funeral Service for Mrs. McKibben will be 10:00 AM Monday, November 23, 2009, at the Hass-Thielen Funeral Home with Chaplain Randy Gearhart officiating. Interment will be in Burlington Memorial Park Cemetery.
A memorial has been established for the Great River Hospice House.
