Beatriz Lilian Araoz de Capdevila, 80, of San Miguel de Tucumán, Argentina, died at 3:30 AM Thursday, January 14, 2010, at Sanatorio del Norte in San Miguel de Tucumán.

Born August 25, 1929, she was the daughter of Juan Carlos and Juana Rosa Carriso de Araoz. She married Oscar Gordillo Capdevila.
Beatriz was a homemaker. She was of the Roman Catholic faith. She enjoyed traveling, dancing, storytelling, and especially loved her children and grandchildren. Most importantly, she had a strong faith in her religion.

Survivors include two sons, Carlos (Kimberly) Capdevila of Burlington, and Pablo Capdevila of Tucumán, Argentina; one daughter, Mariana Capdevila of Tucumán, Argentina; two grandchildren, Lindsey Capdevila and Nicholas Capdevila; one great-granddaughter, Raylin Capdevila; one brother, Roberto Araoz of San Miguel de Tucumán, Argentina; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one brother, Juan Carlos “Gringo” Araoz, and one granddaughter, Alejandra Capdevila.

The Funeral Mass of the Resurrection for Beatriz was held at 5:00 PM Thursday, January 14, 2010 in San Miguel de Tucumán, Argentina. A memorial has been established for the Catholic Children’s Orphanage of San Miguel de Tucumán, Argentina. Contributions may be left at Hass-Thielen Funeral Home.
