Larry E. Elliott, 74, of West Burlington, died at 9:33 AM Thursday, March 18, 2010, at the Great River Medical Center in West Burlington.

Born December 11, 1935, in Edgington, IL, he was the son of Cameron O. and Leona Bivens Elliott. On June 2, 1957, he married Norma J. Legate in Edgington.

Larry was the owner and operator of Larry's Auto Parts, a NAPA affiliate for 21 years. He was currently working as a delivery truck driver for R&M Distributing.
He was a 1953 graduate of Reynold's High School in Reynolds, IL.
He was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church. He was also a member of the Circle-Square-B square dance club, and the Moose Lodge #579. He liked old Chevy's, working on cars and his house, playing cards and solitaire and he especially enjoyed attending family events with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Norma; two daughters, Terri Elliott of West Burlington and Marla (Ken) Moyers of Burlington; one son, Craig (Carol) Elliott of Cedar Rapids; 6 grandchildren, Jeremiah (Judith) Moyers, Faith (Greg) Overlander, Ben (Brittney) Moyers, Blain Winterberg, Christopher and Benjamin Elliott; and 6 great-grandchildren, Trinity, Haley, Madison, Lucas, Margaret, and Alivia.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Marvin Elliott, one granddaughter, Elizabeth Moyers, and one niece, Brenda Yordy. |

The Funeral Service for Mr. Elliott will be 10:00 AM Monday, March 22, 2010, at the Hass-Thielen Funeral Home with Reverend Trevor Davis officiating. Interment will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
Memorials have been established to Grace United Methodist Church and the Des Moines County Special Needs Foundation.
