Lois I. Brown, 93, of Burlington, died at 6:35 AM Tuesday, May 25, 2010, at the Great River Medical Center-Klein Center in Burlington.

Born August 26, 1916, in Ferris, IL, she was the daughter of Charles Henry and Ethel Long Young. On December 6, 1933, she married Clyde A. Brown in Dallas City, IL. He died March 18, 1956. |
Lois was a waitress at the Arion, Snappy Service and Jerry's Main Lunch.
She was of the Christian faith. She enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves, especially Chipper Jones. She also enjoyed playing cards, sewing, eating out, watching polka dancing, and square dancing in her younger years. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.

Survivors include one son, Charles (Jeanne) Brown of Davenport; four daughters, Wanda (Cecil) Connelly, Ardith White, Twila (Richard) Polson, and Meribeth (Billy) Green all of Burlington; 25 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; numerous great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents, her longtime companion, Clifford Warren, one son, Duane Brown, one granddaughter, Julie Brown, two grandsons, Jerry Connelly and Kenneth Brown, and two brothers, Lloyd Young and Kenneth Pearce. |
Visitation will be from 8:00 AM until 10:00 AM with the family to receive friends from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM Thursday at the Hass-Thielen Funeral Home.
The Funeral Service for Mrs. Brown will be 10:00 AM Thursday at the Hass-Thielen Funeral Home with Chaplain David Plooster officiating. Interment will be in Harris Cemetery near Dallas City, IL.
Memorials have been established for the Great River Medical Center - Klein Center and the Great River Hospice. |
