Aleta Frances Engstrom, 94, of Burlington, died at 1:15 PM Wednesday, June 30, 2010, at the Blair House Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Burlington.

Born July 1, 1915, in Hancock County, IL, she was the daughter of Frank and Alice Boyles Armson. She married Charles L. Engstrom. He died in February of 1956.

Aleta owned and operated "Hospitality House" (Nursing Home) for 17 years and was a bookkeeper at Sterzing’s.
She graduated in 1932 from St. Paul's High School in Burlington.

Survivors include one daughter, Sherry Evert of Burlington; one son, Neal Engstrom of Burlington; 6 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one sister, Billie Duttweiler of Burlington and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband she was preceded in death by her parents and one sister.

The family will receive friends from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM Friday, July 2, 2010, at Hass-Thielen Funeral Home.
The funeral service for Mrs. Engstrom will be 10:30 AM Friday, July 2, 2010, at Hass-Thielen Funeral Home with Chaplain Randy Gearhart officiating. Interment will be in Burlington Memorial Park Cemetery. A time of food and fellowship will be held at the Hass-Thielen Community Room following the interment.
A memorial has been established.
